Prayer is vital to christian life

Prayer is the way we communicate with the Lord and praise Him. Praying for the needs of ourselves and other is needed and beneficial, but there is so much more to prayer. During Jesus' ministry here on earth, He prayed for Himself and for others, and He prayed to commune with the Father. He not only prays that the Father will be glorified but also prays for His disciples and "for those who will believe in me through their message" (John 17:20). Submitting to the Father's will was another aspect to Jesus' prayer life, highlighted in His prayer in the Garden of Gethsemane: "Yet not as I will, but as You will" (Matthew 26:39). As with any request we have, we must submit to God's will.

Hi there, my name is Alex. I’ve not been to church in a nearly 5 years, I’ve never felt deserving or like I fit in, I’m 19 and I’ve made some pretty terrible choices in life, I don’t even know where to start with how bad I’ve been doing, recently I had a medical emergency that almost led to my death and all I could do was joke about if after spending nearly 11 days in the hospital. It made me wonder where I would’ve ended up after dying. I don’t want to leave the world as a stain, but I’ve never truly thought that I could be the good person that I should have been, I may never go to church, I might go every now and then, but I keep my faith strong, and I hope God knows that, because I’m scared I won’t be so lucky next time around. Thank you for your time, wishing all the best to the church.
